Participants will explore what it means to become an AI-ready accountant across three dimensions: mindset, skills, and tools. The course explains how technologies such as Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, Power Automate, Microsoft Fabric, and Power BI fit into the modern accounting technology stack, supporting better drafting, analysis, automation, workflow routing, exception monitoring, and decision support across accounting functions. The course also introduces the Miles AI-in-Accounting Competency Framework, covering AI-readiness for accountants, applied AI across accounting functions, and the broader movement toward firm-wide AI operating models. Learners will see how AI can change the nature of work across CFO teams, audit, and tax by reducing repetitive effort, improving visibility, strengthening controls, and allowing professionals to spend more time on review, advisory, and insight-driven work. By the end of the course, learners will have a practical understanding of the AI-first shift in accounting, the core capabilities required of future-ready CPAs, and the types of workflows where AI can create meaningful value.
